The mission  of the Small Business Association of the Midlands is to assist micro & small businesses to develop, grow and operate more efficiently.   Our vision is to become the premier provider of education, coaching and networking for micro and small businesses



If you own an existing business in the region with 99 or fewer employees, or if you are thinking of starting a new business, you can improve your business skills with our seminars, resources, and online information. SBAM exists to provide small businesses with both online and in-person assistance.

Michael Mitilier  CEO/Founder

Michael has over 20 year of experience in directing, planning and implement training programs, seminars and conferences. He spent 13 years building a training and development company that achieved over $500,000 in sale. In 2004 he was diagnosed with lymphoma and his life took a different direction. He decided to use his talents and results oriented attitude to help nonprofit achieve their goals.  He joined the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) as a volunteer in Jan 2005 helping coordinate training and after two years of volunteering, he took a full time position with them as the Director of Member Services. In his five years with NAM, he grew their membership from 174 to over 260 organizations; tripled membership benefits, and found and organized one of area’s premier conferences for nonprofit organizations.
